Today, we watched Bed Time Story at Studio XXI Grand Indo. Our movie started at 17.05 because the show at 14.55 was already full ;_; Starring Adam Sandler as Skeeter Bronson, a hotel handyman who has been working for the hotel since he was a kid. Actually the hotel was originally built by his own father, but they went bankruptcy and he had to sell his hotel to another owner. This new owner promised to make the son a manager when he grows up later, but in the end they just make him as a handyman.

When Skeeter was a child, his father always tells him a bed time story, which later when he grows up, he’d become a good story teller. When he babysits his sister’s kids, he tells them a bedtime story based on his day life. Later he figured out that the story that he always tells the kid can become real like magic.

It’s a family comedy movie. There’re many bad critics at imdb.com, but personally I like this movie. I laughed until cried at this scene when Skeeter had to do a presentation about the new hotel theme but his mouth stung by a bee, then he had this weird language (which’s called alien language in the bed time story) and he needs his friend Mickey who was apparently the only man in the room who could understand that weird language. It was really hillarious, I could not stop laughing :))

Pagi-pagi bangun, nyetel Hallmark channel…eh ada Kristen Bell. Judul film nya Gracie’s Choice. Ceritanya, Gracie  (Kristen Bell) jadi anak tertua dari 5 bersaudara (2 cewek, 3 cowok), dan semua saudara nya itu satu ibu tapi beda ayah. Nyokapnya Gracie merupakan pecandu narkoba dan suka ganti-ganti cowok. Nah sejak kecil si Gracie ini yg ngasuh ade2nya, ngelindungin ade2nya banget, sementara nyokapnya pergi terus ma cowo laen. Problems come when mereka masuk ke “penampungan anak” (lebih mirip penjara anak2) karena nyokapnya diciduk, trus nih anak2 masih dibawah umur ga ada tempat buat tinggal. Neneknya ada sih, tpi ga ada yg kasih tau kalo mereka ditangkep. Trus mereka telpon neneknya, and neneknya ngasuh mereka, dengan syarat ibu nya ngga boleh deket2 sama mereka, kalo ngga duit asuh nya ga dikasih sama social workers.

Setelah hidup sama grandma-nya, hidup mereka jadi lebih mendingan, mereka going to school, Gracie dapet kerjaan part-time di coffee shop, have a boyfriend, trus berprestasi deh di sekolahnya. Tapi masalah tetep aja ada, kaya waktu ibunya berusaha ngambil duit asuh mereka yg dikasih tiap bulan, ato ketika Gracie harus nentuin pilihan, ngasuh adik2nya terus atau ikut cowoknya kuliah di kota lain and have a new life. Trus, pas akhir, si Gracie tetep memperjuangkan biar ade2nya ga tinggal di orang tua asuh. Gracie aja yg jadi orang tua asuh mereka.

Bagus filmnya ^^; Sedih pas akhirnya, waktu ade2nya disuruh milih, mo ikut Gracie atau Ibu kandungnya yg ga becus ngurus anak. Kristen Bell nya masih imut2 disini ^^

ganteng ya si Edward

So finally today I watched TWILIGHT with my friends. As I said before, I’m not really impressed by a movie based on a novel. The movie just helps me visualize the novel, like : Jessica’s boobs (OMG they’re so BIG! I never thought of that!) how James almost turned Bella into a vampire, how they killed him, how’s The Cullens house, etc. Jacob in the movie is not THAT handsome like I was imagined. They should change him. Ngga sebanding dengan Edward.

My opinion if I didn’t read the novel : this movie is really blah… Harry Potter is better than that. Masuk hallmark channel aja deh. But Edward Cullen is really really handsome.

Anyway anyway … I can’t wait to see Marley and Me movie! I have not read the novel yet, but this drama is supposed to be good and heart touching. A human-dog-related movie = good, you know like Lassie, Bolt, etc …

Tomorrow is SUNDAY! which means … time to eat good food! I think I’m going to cook Fettuccini/Spagetti carbonara. I’m googling the recipe now

Sedih ceritanya… Tadi nonton setengah jam sebelum akhir di Celestial Movie. Cerita ttg Kwong (Andy Lau) yang punya masalah ma keluarganya n pingin banget jadi dewasa, and his wish came true. Dia ketemu seorang paman yg bisa ngabulin keinginannya. Dia berubah jadi dewasa, tpi lama2 dia nyesel … ga selama nya jadi dewasa itu enak. Dia pingin balik lagi jadi kecil, tapi dah telat … paman nya ga bisa ngabulin keinginannya. Tambah lama dia tambah tua, ga punya waktu lagi buat nebus kesalahan2 dia ma orang2 di deketnya. Sedihhh ending nya …

Lagu nya juga enak :p Make up transition nya si Andy lau dari muda sampe opa2 keren. Beda banget!

Btw, speaking of andy lau, dah pada liat movie video nya dia yg buat olympic beijing 2008? Yg judulnya Everyone is Number 1, sumpahh… 10 menit … banjir air mata. Sedih abis. Gw nonton itu taon lalu. Sedih banget ceritanya.

Tadi nonton Juno di DVD. Baguss! Si Juno ini anak umur 16taon yang hamil gara2 ML ma temen cowo nya. Karena dia masih muda, tadinya dia berniat mau aborsi, tapi berubah pikiran dan akhirnya mutusin buat cari parents yg mau adopsi anak. Akhirnya ketemu deh pasutri yg menurut Juno cocok buat jadi orang tua anaknya nanti. Tapi … apakah calon ortu si bayi ini sesuai harapan nya si Juno? Liat aja di film nya :p

Film ini juga ngegambarin bedanya orang tua sini & ortu di Amrik. Ortunya si Juno pas Juno bilang dia hamil, mereka shocked, tapi berusaha tetep tenang, n mereka support banget. Ngga marah2in anaknya ato gimana gitu.

Trus satu lagi yg bikin film indie-comedy ini menarik … SOUNDTRACK nyaaaaa !! Soundtrack nya keren2. Fave gw theme song Juno & Bleek, “Anyone else But You”

Btw, acting nya Ellen Page (yg meranin JUNO), pas banget meranin Juno. Dialog nya juga bagus2.

Mac MacGuff: In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person will still think the sun shines out your ass. That’s the kind of person that’s worth sticking with.

Next movie … tough choice between Penelope and The Bucket List. But I think I’m gonna go with The Bucket List.

Minggu kemarin, janjian sama temen2 kampus gw dulu di kos si Kodok. Rencananya mo makan hotplate di Binus dan belanja2 DVD. Berangkat bareng Yuan, jemput dia di depan MKG. Trus sampe di Binus, mo parkir depan laysin … takut ga muat (secara gw pake Innova :’( ) ya udah parkir depanan lagi … ehhhh … ga liat ada got yg ngga ditutup … jeblos deh ban depan gw … -shocked- busi nya patah, trus hari ini (selasa) ban nya jadi rusak gitu … melembung. -maapkan anakmu ini- Akhirnya diangkat sama orang2 deket situ, pindah parkir ke yg “agak” aman. di sebrangnya, was was sih .. pinggir jalan, deket tempat mikrolet ngetem. Mana lama pula disitu kan …

Lalu … sambil nunggu yg lain dateng, ngopi2 game/mp3/apapun yg bisa di copy :p nemu Adobe CS3 … ya udah copy aja deh.. waktu itu mo copy dari kantor ga punya media penyimpanan -ga terpikirkan gw punya iPod segede gaban- 3gb .. mo copy pake apa coba kalo ga pake iPod. Trus nyari2 makanan yg buka di Binus.
